Community Call
for Programming

Purposefully Eclectic

Our programming is community-led and changes focus each quarter.

Ahead of each season, we invite Salon members and the wider public to submit ideas for panels, workshops, field trips, and more.

Responsibilities & Benefits

Program designers envision events, support organization, promote them, and participate.

In exchange, they earn a share of event fees, enjoy a spotlight on our marketing channels, and gain a community of local women with shared interests.

OUR FOCUS AREAS

  • We kick off the year with a focus on holistic wellness.

Women who lead innovative workshops teaching movement, meditation, nutrition, financial, spiritual, and other practices that support healing, wholeness, growth, balance and flourishing are welcome to propose a program.

    CALL FOR PROGRAMMING: 11/24

  • Spring is a time for transformation.

In Q2, we focus on vocational and lifestyle discernment to help women get clear on their callings and manifest their dreams. So, if you’ve made a major life/career change (or help others do the same), submit your idea for a workshop, panel, or cohort.

    CALL FOR PROGRAMMING: 02/25

  • We spend summertime outdoors in community.

Whether you’re a fan of foraging, bananas for bouldering, or professional popsicle maker, lead an talk, excursion, or workshop to help the women of Pittsburgh expand their horizons while enjoying our lush natural landscape.

    CALL FOR PROGRAMMING: 04/25

  • To round out the year (and ourselves), we spend the fall giving back.

We invite non-profit leaders, volunteers, activists, philanthropists, and other community leaders to showcase local causes. Submit an idea for a speaker, drive, or volunteer opportunity to support neighbors in need.
