Have a hole in your favorite jeans? Need to fix the hem of a skirt? Missing a button on your fall jacket? We'll tackle it all in this mending workshop. By the end of class, you’ll know how to do everything from hand-sewing a blind stitch to patching a hole and sewing a button. Once you have a handle on mending and hemming, you’ll have time to get to work on the clothing you brought in, breathing new life into your wardrobe while practicing sustainability and combating modern throwaway culture. Simply bring 3-5 items you’d like to repair or hem (please avoid sweaters and knits) and Sydney will take care of all the supplies, including scissors, thread, needles, buttons, and patches. No sewing experience required!
